The chancellor has dismissed reviews that the governing administration is on the lookout to save revenue on HS2 by scaling it back again so that it no extended terminates in central London.
Jeremy Hunt re-affirmed his determination to the flagship rail venture and claimed he could not see “any conceivable circumstance” in which the line would not conclusion at Euston but stopped short of ruling out delays.
